Is there more stuff you want to know? That's great: I love questions!
Take a look below, since I may have already answered what's on your mind... (If not, email me.)
The best answer is: BOTH!
Both kinds of courses have their benefits and their drawbacks. But I have created both to be dynamic and fun, to challenge you and grow you (and even enjoy yourself along the way).
YES. All of my courses (both live and online) are approved by NCBTMB for CEs wherever you live.
And all of my courses (both live and online) are approved for CE hours by New York State.
Any other license/renewal/certification questions? Just email me.
FUN. CHALLENGING. CARING.
I believe that we learn best when we are pushed to be the therapists that we want to be. I will give you lots of information, and lots of suggestions to make each stroke feel better for your client and better in your own body.
And I will do all that with care and empathy. I believe that each one of us are in charge of our own careers. My job is just to help you however you want and need help in this moment.
I have a lot to offer, and let each student tell me what they are ready for.
Want more of a sense of what my courses are like? Read what your fellow therapists have said.
All of my online courses have a 30-day money-back guarantee. No questions asked. Just email me and I'll refund you.
I've been selling courses online since 2018. You know how many people have asked for a refund? One. So chances are, you won't either. But it is always available...
So glad you asked. I've got a whole page...
For more than a dozen years I have been creating my own courses.
In addition, I also teach the Body Therapy Education workshops created by the marvelous Carole Osborne, who has recently retired.
see complete list here (link to live courses?)
In the classroom, I try to keep the focus on YOU and your needs, rather than talking about myself. But, since you asked...
After spending the first forty-five years of my life in New York City, I now live in beautiful Shelburne, Vermont. But my private practice is still in the city, where I return every other week to see my clients. And I teach continuing education courses both in Vermont and NYC and all over the country.
I have been massaging and writing for over twenty years, and teaching for about fifteen. I am a licensed massage therapist, and a graduate of Vassar College and the Swedish Institute of Health Sciences. I have massaged across the gamut—from the US Open Tennis Tournament to a hospice, from a wellness center to too many spas to count—and now feel very fortunate to run my own private practice in New York City, Full Breath Massage.
My work is a blend of Swedish, deep tissue, and myofascial; each session is built around facilitating the client’s full, easy breath, and facilitating the client’s own somatic awareness.
I work on everyone from Broadway performers to account managers, from new moms to grandmoms. I believe we can all benefit from therapeutic massage; I believe we can all breathe fully.
I have developed and taught continuing education courses around the country, from the Swedish Institute to the AMTA National Convention, and also online.
I am also a co-author of the Third Edition of Pre- and Perinatal Massage Therapy (Handspring Limited 2021), and a proud member of Carole Osborne’s teaching team of pre- and perinatal massage therapy workshops.
My aim, for my clients and students and readers, is to encourage us all to inhabit our bodies more fully, so that we can do the things we love with greater ease and effectiveness.
I get it! Take a look at our cancellation and refund policy, and don't hesitate to reach out—I'm happy to brainstorm the possibilities with you.
Great! Let's chat. Email me and let me know what you are thinking about.
